Sports Academy
Goa, India
2019 – Unbuilt

Developed as a residential IB school for local and regional talent, this academy and athletic facility will accommodate more than 700 students on the 23-acre site. Planned to be built near the border between Maharashtra and Goa in the Konkan coastal region, the fertile site will be home to facilities for multiple sports, agriculture, recreation for the public, and classrooms and housing for the students.

Primarily an intervention in the landscape, the architecture emerges from the gently sloping terrain and will be constructed using laterite quarried from the site. The studies and research shown here are made with the architectural practice Put Your Hands Together, also based in Mumbai, and help to form the preliminary research conducted on the site and in the region.
